A Community Mural for
America’s Semiquincentennial

Where: Gazebo at  Lyon’s Park, Port Chester NY, (during Port Chester Day)

When: 11:00 AM–4:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2026

A five-hour, family centered mural event where children, teens, and adults co-create a temporary mural panel while learning accessible painting techniques. Workshop offers age-appropriate activities: wax resist fireworks for young children, color mixing and brushwork labs for school age youth, supervised splatter and controlled spray practice for teens and adults, and a collaborative mural assembly for families.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by ArtsWestchester.
