Free Art workshop Monday November 9th at 4 pm

Whales and Other Sea Creatures

Free live Zoom art workshop for children and families.  This program will be held entirely online through Zoom. Please register/confirm till 2pm on November 9th  to office@ sitenf.org with your email address to receive the log on information to this event.

This art workshop is great for everyone, regardless of experience. The program is designed so that people of any age can participate and enjoy it. We transform a multitude of painty splotches into sea animals.

Art supplies:

• Any paints

• 8.5”x11” or any-size paper

• Black Sharpie marker

Optional: markers or crayons

Let’s Design Together – Gardens in Yonkers

Live Zoom art workshop for children and families. This program will be held entirely online through Zoom. Please register/confirm till 2 PM on November 4th, 2020 to office@ sitenf.org with your email address to receive the log on information to this program.

This art workshop is great for everyone, regardless of experience. The program is designed so that people of any age can participate and enjoy it. Adults, small children, tweens, and seniors will draw or paint aerial views of tulip fields in the Netherlands. This will be such a great inspiration — shouldn’t we design flower gardens in Yonkers? Later we will combine all the designs into one large aerial view of flower gardens.

Art supplies:

  • Washable markers or crayons
  • Letter size paper(8.5”x11”)
  • Black Sharpie marker
  • Optional: paints and brushes

Map – Highways, Free Zoom Art workshop – November 2nd at 4pm

DESIGNING TOGETHER – Highways, Roads and Bridges Map
You can use any art supplies you have at home. We can create:

  1. PAINTING
    Paints; brushes; white paper (8.5×11”) + Black Sharpie marker
  2. COLLAGE
    Newspapers, magazines, scrap papers, white paper (8.5×11”) + Black Sharpie marker, scissors, scissors, glue/stapler, or tape
  3. DRAWING
    Crayons/markers/colored pencils, white paper (8.5×11”) + Black Sharpie marker

This project is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant Program, with public funds provided from Putnam County. Thank you to Brewster Public Library for organizing and hosting the 2020 art workshop series.

ArtsWestchester added our Foundation to the list of organizations eligible for matching funds. As an affiliate of ArtsWestchester, the Nowodworski Foundation is eligible for a matching grant from their Art$W Challenge program:

— Funds are limited but if you donate now your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar! However, funding is only available on a first-come, first-serve basis, until all available funds have been allocated, so please make your donation as soon as possible.

Please help us raise money and awareness for our art program this fall! Take the Art$WChallenge! Your donation will provide much needed funds to support cultural programs and services in Westchester that people who live outside of the area (all across the USA) can also participate in by Zoom.

Every new dollar donated (up to a maximum amount set forth in the guidelines) till December 31, 2020, is eligible to be matched by ArtsWestchester with the support of Westchester County Government.
